I'm starting to think that 3 posts a day is a bit excessive but I am actually really enjoying writing. Plus, there isn't much on my blog at the moment so I think its ok. I'm not too sure what I want to write about so I think I'll just keep typing until I figure out what I want to say.
Recently I signed up for a one-month free trial for Netflix. It wasn't the smartest idea since I am the most easily distracted person without the addition of Netflix. Despite all this I really clicked yes on the application form. I was actually really excited at the beginning but then after watching a few movies that I never got round to seeing these last few years I ran out of things to watch. I have to say, it was quite disapointing, a lot of quite popular movies from these last few years aren't available so I've been watching old movies from the 1980's which aren't really old but since I was born in 1997, are old to me. I've also watched a few not that popular oldish TV shows - from 2000's.
Which leads to the point, well one the points I'm trying to make. Firstly, it really annoys me when movies don't fully explain things for example in Ashton Kutcher's A Lot Like Love, we don't actually know why his company goes bust, or why they choose not see each other again after each meeting. Plus, how likely are those storylines? Boys and Girls and One Day both have similar themes - all three movies have a man and a woman who meet, talk, go seperate ways then somehow meet up again and again in the future 'coincidentally'. I usually love all that romantic mushy sweet stuff but I've been going through a pessimistic phase recently so it's just a bit annoying to me.
Secondly, unpopular tv shows. I understand that if nobody watches the show then companies will not want to pay a lot of money to plac advertisements etc. etc. but what about the people that do like the show and watch it religiously? I was watching Beyond the Break and the series finale has majorly annoyed me. There was no effort made to ties things together and finish off any of the storylines. A lot of subplots were not fully developed and it finished on a freaking CLIFFHANGER. What? Why? Why would you do that? No, why would you do that and then CANCEL THE SHOW? Excuse you. But a lot of people really want to know if Riley will be found out and Lacey, with the bad past will actually have a good future. And what about Bailey, he suddenly picked up and left! Or Dawn, why did she randomly kiss Justin? There was no build up or explanation of that!!
